Daniel Tosh Posts Emotional Message After John Winkler’s Shooting Death
Daniel Tosh and the Comedy Central network expressed their condolences for John Winkler a production assistant on Daniel’s hit TV show ‘Tosh.O’ who was tragically gunned down by L.A. police on April 7.
Daniel Tosh took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the shooting death John Winkler, 30, who was one of his production assistants at Daniel’s Comedy Central show. Daniel’s message on Twitter simply stated: “I only had the privilege of working with John Winkler for a while. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to his family and friends.”The Comedy Central network released a lengthier statement regarding John’s sudden death at the hands of police.
“Comedy Central and Tosh.0 extend their deepest condolences to the family of John Winkler,”
the network said in its statement. “We only had the privilege of
working with him for a short while and extend heartfelt sympathy to his
family and friends during this tragic time.”
Sadly, John had just moved to California six months prior to his fatal shooting.
According to the L.A. Times John was attempting to help a friend who was being held at knife-point by Alexander. When John tried to escape the blade himself he came across police who arrived on the scene.
The police mistook John for the attacker and fired the lethal shot that ended his life.

Tragically, John was gunned down by police in L.A., on April 7, after being misidentified as stabbing suspect Alexander McDonald. John was killed with one shot.Sadly, John had just moved to California six months prior to his fatal shooting.
