News: Will Kendrick Lamar Perform New Music When He Returns To ‘SNL’?
We know Kendrick Lamar loves himself
and now he’s bringing that love back to “SNL.” K. Dot is set to appear
on “Saturday Night Live” as the musical guest November 15, joining Woody Harrelson, who’s slated to host.
King Kendrick is expected to perform his upcoming album’s first single, “i,” which was released earlier this year and is already an NBA anthem. The ode to self empowerment track has already impressed us with a heart-filled lyric video and, of course, he inspired LeBron James on his return to the Cleveland Cavaliers. We may even get a closer look at a new single during this “SNL” performance. “King Kunta,” maybe?
This is set to be Lamar’s third appearance on “SNL.” You may remember his good kid, m.A.A.d. city run appearance when he performed “Swimming Pools (Drank)” and “Poetic Justic.” And who can forget his surprise appearance with Imagine Dragons when they performed the “Radioactive (Remix)?”
We also can’t help but hope that Kendrick Lamar brings back his comedic chops. I mean, who wouldn’t want another “YOLO?”
Or, dare we hope for some brand new music off his forthcoming new album?? C’mon Kendrick, show us a little love.
