Oyin Ameen talk's about growing up in the north and how it influenced him.

Ameen Muktar Oyindamola is a businessman, talent manager and music executive.. He rose to stardom in 2012 but have been working since 2009. Over the years he has work with a lot of local and international act's. He is the founder of the media house "Streets Legend Nig Ltd" and he was born and raised in Kwara State to a Muslim family.

He had his primary and secondary education in Ilorin at Northfields International School and Kinsey Academy College. He also studied Accounting in Al-Hikmah University.

His interest towards entertainment begun during his day's at Al-Hikmah University early 2009 when he started as an event planner and promoter before growing into a media house in 2012.



Did growing up in the north part of the country ever influenced you?

Northerners have great moral values, although politicians are the same everywhere in the world. But I grew up around great moral values especially honesty and being trustworthy and that's what my brand evolve around like my name Ameen, Arabic word for trustworthy.


Since you from the North Central part of Nigeria, how's music accepted over their. Is it the same with the west or you have to put in extra work to get your music across?

Northerners like every other part of Africa and Nigeria, loves music, unfortunately, the northern kind of music isn't the mainstream, but Hip hop is more alive in the far north, Kaduna and Now has the best rappers in Nigeria. Most of the great Nigerian rappers has influence from the north, FROM eldee to Modenine, MI, Ice Prince, The list is endless

At what point of your life did you decide, that you wanted to put in all to make this workout?

I registered my company in 2009, i was an undergraduate, that was the moment I decided, this is what I want to pursue in life.


How is it like being a father and still trying to balance your work and family?

Being a talent manager has always giving me a role as a father figure to my clients, looking after them and protecting their interest in the industry. Having a son and family is almost the same thing.


We understand you own one of Nigeria leading media house which play's a big role in the industry, how is it like?

It's a lot of responsibility to keep up with, Grind don't stop and the climb is endless. It's great though


Should we expect more from Streets Legend Nig LTD  this year?

We have being producing the biggest tunes our of Africa and just recently our visual wings has being producing great videos for artistes like Yemi Alade, Harmonize, Seyi Shay, Rayvanny to mention a few. We are set out to do international businesses and you will see more of that.
