News: Zuma not fulfilling his obligations: DA

 DA Parliamentary leader Mmusi Maimane has described as misleading, a statement by the Presidency that President Jacob Zuma has been fulfilling his obligations since his re-election in May.

Maimane was speaking during the National Assembly's Programme Committee meeting.

The DA and other opposition parties have been pushing for Zuma to answer questions.

Maimane says, "If I  look at the terms of this particular  programme, in term one which was on the 17th of June to the fourth of August, all the President did was to table the state of the nation and he did not arrive for oral questions. Second term 19th of August to the 19th of September, all the President did, he came and answered half a question session."
